Sim is a big thick nice bay gelding who is so easy to handle on the ground and under saddle. He walks on all 4 feet flat in a nylon halter, doesn’t try to run you over or move ahead - even after being in a stall for days at a time during the heavy rain periods here, he walks out like he's an old soul, never dragging you. He’s been an absolute pleasure to have here - when he was turned out for the first time post-track, he trotted around a bit, then settled right in. Stands tied, no wiggle at all to get tacked up, stands for the farrier, and loads right up quietly in your trailer.

He has been restarted under saddle, and has shown his bravery by walking, trotting, and cantering some cross rails and ground poles without a second thought. Dogs being lunatics in the arena (as mine always are)? A non-issue for this big guy - he just keeps it moving. Picks up both leads and has a natural flying change both directions - he should be easy to teach to recognize the change on command down the road - extremely smart. Picked up lunging right away and stands at the mounting block for you to get on (round of applause for that alone)

He’s been riding around in a smooth three piece eggbut snaffle on a very loose rein - never threatened to bolt off, he’s a push ride - but he’ll continue to carry himself in whatever gait he’s in. He has a fantastic brain and is going to make someone an awesome partner in absolutely any discipline. he does have a hard set osselet in his front ankle not over the joint. It doesn't bother him or my vet. (We DO have X-rays for anyone interested)
