Let’s get this out of the way: If you’re looking for your next snuggly, in-your-pocket gelding who follows you around like a lost puppy—Simovitch is not your man.

He’s has absolutely no quirks, no vices, no drama—he just doesn’t care about you like that. He stands politely to be caught in the field —but don’t expect him to gallop up nickering for affection. He is stoically neutral about your existence.

Sim has resting bay face in every single picture. And yes, that’s just his face. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body—he’s actually a total gentleman. He just looks like he’s silently judging you. (He probably is.)

Physically? He’s a tank. Mentally? Rock solid. He leads in a nylon halter with no pulling, no dragging, no diving to get grass - even when he was inside for 3 days straight during a monsoon - he walked out like the same old Sim.

He retired sound with a hard set osselet on his front right ankle (not in the joint, a non problem). Vet says he’s good to go in whatever direction you want to take him—jumping, dressage, trails, turning him into a medieval jousting horse because he truly does not give a shit - you name it. X-rays available upon request.

Under saddle, Sim is a dream. Herides just as happily on a loose rein as he does in contact. He’s in a simple three-piece eggbutt snaffle and has been unfazed by literally everything—from crossrails and ground poles to uninvited chaos in the form of ring-gremlin dogs and even me showing him a barrel pattern a time or two - he took it in stride and got the program quickly.

This horse shows up, does the job, and goes about his day like a professional. Just pure competence and a dry sense of humor (if he had one).
