Reggie is a fun, uncomplicated ride with one of the smoothest canters you’ll ever sit. Brave and not spooky, he’s the same horse on or off property, stands tied, turns out quietly with anyone, and is a true pleasure to have in the barn.

He’s an easy-keeping tank — barefoot in the off season and wears front shoes when in work. He has a self-carrying motor without running away, moves nicely off the leg, carries himself beautifully, and has been lightly started on the pattern. He can have weeks off and come back the exact same horse.

Bridling up is a breeze (he’ll even hold the bit like a dog when you unbridle). He does mildly crib when not in electric topped fencing if he’s in an individual turnout, but we haven’t seen any issues with him in group turnout with a round bale or grass and it does not affect him eating, grazing, or keeping weight. Reggie was schooling 2’6 with his previous owner, and is currently being legged back up and is schooling 2’3 but has no limits to going higher again once back in shape to do so.

He really is a just an enjoyable horse with zero drama ready to continue training to start hauling this spring.
