Red Razzo (Barn Name “Jack”)

2012 | Gelding | ~17H

by Toccet (by Awesome Again)

out of High Iron Lass (by Include)

Jack is finishing 30 days of legging-up and refresher work here at my personal farm, and is steadily rebuilding his topline and stepping back into a consistent program with ease. Prior to his break, he was successfully coursing 2’6” in a lesson program, and also has experience in 4H, local showing, and trail riding.

Jack is a pleasure to have in the barn - he is easy to handle on the ground, stands tied, trailers quietly alone or with a buddy, turns out easily, and settles quickly in new environments. Throughout his time here, he has proven to be sensible and non-spooky, whether working at home or away. He has no known injuries and has been maintained in front shoes while in consistent work, though he can go barefoot in the off-season. He does have a parrot mouth, which has been easily managed with routine dental floats every six months, and this has never affected his ability to graze, eat hay, or finish his grain - even if the hay is in a hay bag.

Under saddle, Jack is a confident ride with a “point-and-shoot” style to the fences, auto lead changes, and a correct lead pick-up both directions. He can be strong to a jump, so he is best suited to a confident rider or experienced junior/adult amateur who appreciates a horse with his own motor when he’s doing his job. As he continues to be brought back into work - Jack is ready to step back into wherever his next home takes him.
