Freya is a smooth-gaited, comfortable, and versatile mare who genuinely loves having a job. Her owner doesn’t need to sell her, but wants her to have the consistent time and attention she thrives on.

She’s been ridden English and Western, goes in a snaffle or bitless, and will come with her professionally fitted Big Horn barrel saddle (6.5” gullet). Freya is the kind of horse you can leave for weeks and pull out of the field—she’ll go right back to work without fuss. On the trails she’s confident, sure-footed, and happy to go out alone or with a group, whether she’s leading or following.

She’s been to shows, fairs, and even a parade, where she tied quietly, handled the atmosphere well, and loaded into both slant and bumper pull trailers with ease. Her gait is incredibly smooth and her canter is balanced and easy to sit, making her a very comfortable ride for long outings.

In the arena, if something is confusing or new, she can say no and fling her head up looking for direction, so she does best with a calm, confident rider who can help her move forward when unsure. She’s a sweet, respectful mare with no bite or kick, and while she can be dominant in the pasture, she does well in a small herd and prefers living out 24/7. She’s an easy keeper, grain free, barefoot with strong hooves, and has never taken an off step. She’s UTD on vet, farrier, dental, vaccines, and Coggins.

This has been a thoughtful decision by her owner, who has poured time, care, and training into her and wants nothing less than an excellent match.
